Working with Collaborative Robots

At SEMAPRO we believe it is very important to reinvent ourselves and keep up to date with the latest technologies.

That’s why we wanted to focus on collaborative robots. Collaborative robots, or Cobots, have been created to work “hand in hand” with operators. They have been safely designed to be an assistant to the worker (or the worker an assistant to the Cobot, depending on how you look at it). In the same space and in the same efficient way, collaborative robots and operators work together to improve whatever process is proposed. Just like industrial robots, Cobots can manipulate, palletise, weld, etc. The application needs a special tool for this and the tool defines the application. For example, if we add a gripper, the Cobot will manipulate by picking up the indicated object with the gripper and taking it to the correct destination; if we add a welding gun, the Cobot will weld, and so on with each tool.

Dobot, Universal and Yaskawa. The 3 brands SEMAPRO is betting on for its leap into collaborative industrial robotics.

After an exhaustive search in the world of collaborative robotics and immersing ourselves in its multiple uses and services, we have opted for the brands Dobot, Universal and Yaskawa. Why? The three brands offered us what we were looking for: support and monitoring at all times, professionalism and trust. The three pillars of SEMAPRO. We like to get from our suppliers what we want to offer our customers.

In SEMAPRO we have been trained to enter the world of collaborative robotics and thus be able to offer our customers another way in industrial robotics.

After our collaborative robotics training and self-learning, we were able to get the three Cobots to interact with each other.

We have evolved, we carry out projects with Collaborative Robotics to continue providing innovative solutions to the client.
